Several years ago, a friend took her to a power yoga class and she was hooked immediately. Tina believes so strongly in the practice of power yoga that she has joined yogapower as an owner. Tina's classes will help you discover areas of strength you didn't even realize you have, while bringing your mind into focus and taking you to a place of relaxation away from your hectic daily life.

Kristen Darci Kristen found herself on the yoga mat after a life of intensely competitive athletics landed her with knee injuries that required surgery. The therapeutic benefit of the yoga practice began in her body, spread through her spirit, and transformed her life. Kristen thrives on her practice that has helped to heal her body and balance her mind. She seeks these experiences daily and her classes offer the space for every practitioner to experience his or her own sense of bliss.

Lauren Koenig-Plonskier Lauren came to power yoga initially because too much running and other impact sports had left her injured and in pain. She was looking for a new physical challenge and found it in power yoga. Lauren found herself coming back to her practice again and again, drawn to the tremendous strength she began to find within herself both mentally and physically. Off the mat Lauren is a classical pianist.

Marc McDonald Marc began teaching yoga in 1998 after having been inspired by the transformative effects of the practice in his life. He soon focused his attention on Astanga yoga under the direction of David Swenson and Kathy McNames. He would later complete (220/500 hour) teacher certifications through FRA and Yoga Vermont. In 2005, Marc was introduced to Budokon, a Yogic and Martial art created by Cameron Shayne. Budokon enhanced and expanded upon ideas he was introduced to years earlier. His classes integrate a love of music and an expression of movement that is both challenging and playful. His approach is based on the firm belief that each body must find its own unique path within the practice. Marc does not believe in 'one size fits all'. He encourages exploration and creativity in adjusting one's yoga practice to suit the body they were given.

Adena Muncey Adena started practicing yoga almost 14 years ago. While working as a personal trainer, she noticed that what her clients needed most, yoga could offer. She decided to become a registered yoga instructor from The Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica. Adena is also a licensed acupuncturist. She combines her education in exercise science and anatomy with her knowledge of yoga and eastern medicine to create a powerful, safe, and ever-changing yoga class. A class that will leave you feeling stronger, healthier, and with a deeper knowledge and connection to your own body.

Rachel Silverman Rachel first discovered yoga after moving from California to the east coast for college. She has always been physically active, growing up with softball, dance, and ice skating. Not only did yoga help her physically as a competitive figure skater but also mentally, helping to clear away the stress from any kind of day. Now, as a graduate from Brandeis, Rachel would like to share her passion for yoga through teaching.
